Intel II March 4th

Technology is a huge part of my unit. Students are engaged in technology from the start of the project through the end. Brainstorming, research, Publisher, spreedsheets, and surveys are all done through technology.

The one question I have, unsure of, is Unit Summary. How detailed does this need to be. I have read throught the description but still unsure how detailed it needs to be. Also, what is the order of the presentation when we present on the final week.

Intel II make-up at RMS

Chris, I miss you! RMS is only on Module 5. We are ahead of them. You go girl!

With this project, my students have to be self-directed learners or they will not be sucessful. This is why I wanted to fix this project to have everything ready so they knew where they should be and what needs to be done. Thie partners will also help with this as well.  With the diverse needs of learners, they are paried together with the partner of their choice. The resource teachers know about this project and feel that this porject is one of the most important that this level of student will do.  Teaching the Concepts level (lowest level), these life skills are very important for what they will be doing in the near future. I have met with the RT ’s and they are a great help with this porject.

I will be back on Tuesday. Please let me know if there is anything I need to have with me prior to Tuesday’s class!

Intel II Feb 19th, 2008

This has helped me plan my until and my students will benefit from this in April. My students last semester, did not have the detailed assignments, rubrics and thought provoking questions. The students will now be able to assess their partner on their work and also be able to follow the project rubric as they work. I have also broke the assignments down to topics each day to give the students a detailed time-line of the project.  Today was the most encouraging day in Intel II. Thank you very much. See you in two weeks!

Intel Week 4

With the research my students will need to do on the adult project, this has helped show that I will use research about 98% of my unit.  With the program we have, I can view the students computers on my Prom. Board. This means I can monitor every computer while I am grading students, assisting students, or just observing.

We are glad you are back!

Intel II Jan 29th, 2008

We want Chris back.  Class is getting smaller.

Intel II Class 2

How can projects help my students meet standards and develop 21st centurey skills? How can I use projects to enhance student learning?

Projects can be used as a supplement to sudent learning and can engage the students in the learning process.  My students use tech. in the classroom and use it as  peer teaching style and aslo to supplement their learning from the lectures.

Intel II Class 1

We set up our folders, downloaded some info and dealt with some problems that came up as we were going on. Chris was great at adapting and adjusting based on the problems we were having. The class went well, and hopefully the kinks will be out by next week. Great class and I am very thankful that you allowed me to sit through the class with you as my makeup class.

The Intel class was very basic. I had most of everything done prior to class beginning which made the night long. I am looking forward to getting into the blood and sweat of the course.  I would like to stay in this class if at all possible, email me with any concerns about this.

Intel II

Coach CummingsI am making up my Intel II course at Greer Middle School. I can not let me students know that :) ~ The class is very small and a lot of one on one with the instructor. I hope I am doing what needs to be done. I am looking forward to being at Riverside Middle School on Thursday!
